Statement of international activists in Greece

Activists of the solidarity movement to the Palestinian cause, from Denmark, France, Italy and Greece, we met in Athens on Wednesday 25th of January 2012, after an invitation from the Greek Association for Solidarity with the Palestinian People - INTIFADA. We discussed about our solidarity groups and their work in our countries, about different strategies and tactics of solidarity and about ways to cooperate or coordinate our efforts. We established and we will try to maintain contacts between our groups and local solidarity movements.
Being in Greece, we would like to express our opposition to the alliance between Greek and Israeli governments, and especially the military cooperation. We also condemn the repression from the Greek authorities, in different occasions during the past year and a half, against foreign and Greek activists and protesters in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
